Rotary International is an international service organization whose stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. It is a non-political and non-religious organization open to all (Wikipedia).
 

Byron Bay Rotary Club belongs to the Rotary District 9640. Byron Bay Rotary and the Rotary District 9640 are part of Rotary International. The Rotary District 9640 cuts across the New South Wales and Queensland border and is located between the four G’s:

  • Grafton in the South-East;
  • Glenn-Innes in the South-West;
  • Goondiwindi in the North-West;
  • Gold Coast in the North East.
These are approximately 52 clubs in our district and about 1,200 Rotarians.
 

The Rotary Foundation is a non-profit corporation that supports the efforts of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarianism, educational and cultural exchange programs. It is supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and Friends of the Foundation who shares its vision of a better world.
