Our AGM was a great time to reflect on the year's achievements and boy, what a year it was. Where do we start?

President Colin McJannett hosted our AGM in early November and aside of the official business (we keep that to the bare minimum), we took some time to reflect on the contents of his President's report. This is where we pause to consider what's been achieved and the impact our work has had.

So where to start?
Perhaps our continued support of the Bravehearts program, educating children in self-protection against abuse (960 kids in total). Or our donation of $18,600 directly to victims of this year’s terrible floods to get back on their feet. Maybe our major donation to the Women’s Resource Services to directly help families affected by Family Violence.

Over the year our hardworking volunteers have raised $1000’s at the Byron Farmers’ markets with 100% of donations go to supporting our community. Then there’s the support for students at our local schools, the purchase of shirts for Byron Bay Junior SLSC Nippers and our support for lonely seniors at Christmas. Not to mention our contribution to #endpolionow. Please see our projects page to learn more about each of our Club's focus areas which are all about being relevant to our community.

Overall, we've done a lot for a small Club and guess what? We’re back at it again this year.
Thank you to the Byron community for supporting us, our major partners - L & R Uechtritz Foundation, Byron Farmers Market Byron Bay Services Club and of course our members, associates and families. We couldn’t do it without you.
